The WBAI General Membership Meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 5:30 p.m.   The meeting will be held at the ISBA office located at 20 S. Clark Street, Suite 900, Chicago, IL.  At this meeting, members will be able to cast their vote to elect the members of the WBAI Nominating Committee. 

The Nominating Committee will meet on April 27, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the WBAI office located at 321 S. Plymouth Court, Suite 4S, Chicago, IL.  The Nominating Committee will be responsible for slating the following positions for the WBAI 2017-2018 Board:  Second Vice President, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and open Director positions.

Anyone interested in running for the above positions must submit their applications electronically to Monique Austin at [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on April 12, 2017. No late submissions will be accepted.  Submissions will be accepted beginning on Monday, March 28, 2017. 

In accordance with the WBAI By-laws, the following individuals automatically will serve on the Nominating Committee: Past President Eugena Whitson-Owen, Ex-Officio Hon. Jessica O’Brien, First Vice President Kristin Barnette and Second Vice President Karie Valentino.   Seven members will be elected on March 27, 2017 to serve with these individuals and an alternate to serve in the event any member elected is unable to serve. 

In order to participate on the Nominating Committee, you must be a member of the WBAI in good standing for at least 3 consecutive years.  The WBAI invites your participation in this important process. Per our by-laws, Law Student members are ineligible to vote or nominate, but all other current members are eligible to vote.
