Join the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois for an evening of networking followed by an engaging and informative CLE program, proudly sponsored by Hinshaw and JAMS. The program will feature an esteemed panel of distinguished jurists—Justice Joy Cunningham of the Illinois Supreme Court; Hon. Kay Hanlon (Ret.), Neutral at ADR Systems; Hon. Mary Anne Mason, (Ret.), Mediator, Arbitrator, Court-Appointed Neutral at JAMS; and Hon. Mary Colleen Roberts, (Ret.), Mediator, Arbitrator, Court-Appointed Neutral at JAMS—moderated by Circuit Court Judge Jean Golden.
The panel will explore the evolution of mediation, including a historical perspective on its development in hospital-related disputes, while examining the challenges attorneys face in resolving complex cases. Drawing on decades of judicial and ADR experience, the panelists will share strategies for overcoming barriers to settlement, breaking through impasses, and achieving meaningful resolutions. Attendees will leave with valuable insights and techniques they can immediately apply to strengthen their advocacy and effectiveness in mediation. Networking social with beer, wine, and appetizers begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the CLE program at 5:30 p.m. Moderator:
