2021 Write & Change the Narrative: Women Lawyers & Literature
Thursday, February 11, 2021, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM CDT
Category: Events

Learn from our panelists, Molly Bowen, Fiona McEntee, and Desiree Moore how to become a published author, the importance of informing the narrative, and how to make a difference through literature.  Molly is the author of Mommy Lawyer, a book that teaches children about the work of a lawyer and to be more understanding and proud of their working mothers.  Fiona wrote Our American Dream to highlight the importance of a diverse and welcoming America and to share immigrant stories inspired by Fiona’s real-life clients, family, and friends.  Desiree recently published Foodie Tales, a family cookbook inspired by classic children’s literature.  The recipes are kid-friendly and meant to inspire a love of reading and cooking.   As a bonus, at the start of the event, Desiree will do a short cooking demonstration – a kid-friendly, weeknight meal that takes minutes to pull together and that will be your new go-to when you need to get dinner on the table quickly.  And, a portion of the purchase of Our American Dream and Foodie Tales will be donated to non-profits.
