 Join us for a virtual CLE event, Mobilization & Crisis Lawyering: Spotlight on Afghan and Ukraine Refugees.
During this event, Chicago immigration lawyers will share their experiences responding to the latest crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine. A community representative from the Muslim Women's Resource Center will speak about the legal needs and the barriers these new immigrants face. Ruth Lopez McCarthy (State of Illinois' cross-agency leader on immigration and refugee services) will provide updates on how Illinois continues to address urgent and emergent immigrant communities' needs. You will learn about pro bono opportunities for many individuals facing upcoming asylum application deadlines.
